Clouds of The Sky is a cinematic short following a young man whose world begins to collapse — not from bombs, but from phone calls. As the Russian invasion of Ukraine begins, he receives fragmented updates from his girlfriend, trapped in Kyiv.
My role was to create graphic elements that quietly supported the story: objects, visuals, and screens that didn’t just fill space — they carried memory, longing, and emotional urgency. These were not just props; they were extensions of the characters' inner lives.
Clouds of The Sky challenged me to design not for attention, but for emotional resonance. These visuals were not meant to be seen first — but to be felt. Working within a film set taught me the art of design that whispers: every label, screen, and scribble carried the silent ache of separation. The process deepened my understanding of visual storytelling as emotional infrastructure.
I supported the visual development of Clouds of The Sky by helping define the film’s overall aesthetic in collaboration with the director and production designer. I created scene-specific graphics including book covers, posters, handwritten notes, artwork, and designed both the official film poster and a conceptual title sequence — all crafted to feel emotionally grounded and authentic to the story world.
Beyond design, I assisted with set dressing and prop sourcing, contributing personal items and shopping for small details to make the main character’s space feel lived-in. I also helped with on-set organization, arranging materials and managing continuity between shots.
